Naughty nurses and sex with strangers: Role-play and sexual fantasy for couples

Discussing sexual fantasies and sharing role-play experiences can be a healthy addition to any couple’s sexual relationship. Many people have a fantasy, or three, that they use as aid to sexual pleasure or to ‘warm-up’ before sex. However they are often not shared with the partner.

There are some fantasies that should stay private unless absolutely certain that the relationship can handle them. Also there are some that may not endure unless kept only to the imagination and that is something only the self can decide.

Some couples may prefer to just share the fantasies verbally as a simple relationship and / or trust building exercise, whereas others may want to act out the fantasy in role play, perhaps with props and new places.

Here are some general rules for sharing sexual fantasies:

• Share one of your own first in order to encourage your partner to share.
• Do not laugh at your partner’s fantasies.
• Remember that they are fantasies, and not usually something they want to do in reality. So do not get jealous, feel inadequate, disgusted or intimidated.
• Both partners need to be comfortable with anything that the fantasy involves before actually trying it. I.e. as with bondage, domination, dressing up. Remember what seems fun and exciting for you may be terrifying for your partner.

Hooker or gigolo: Ever wanted to pay for sex, but not keen on the real thing? This one is easy to dress up for. An addition to the atmosphere could be to get a motel room and have the 'Hooker or gigolo' arrive after the 'client'. Perhaps you may even want to go so far as pick them up on the street.

Stripper: What is termed the "woman clothed man naked" fetish is becoming very popular, so remember not only guys like strippers. Good music, sexy attire and a g-string and voila! You don't have be a good dancer because your partner thinks you're sexy anyway, a good tip is take it slowwwww.

Porn stars: Ever wanted to make your own porn film? Of course you do need a video camera. But if still shots are all you can afford then go for it. Just watch where you keep it when you're done and label it well. You don't want it confused with your offsprings soccer game that you saved to show your inlaws!

Teacher: Did you have a crush on a teacher? Maybe you still think about him/her? With a little imagination you could live your fantasy.

Maid/ pool cleaner/ gardener: Corny but common. Also easy to play out. Perhaps it's that there is so much bending over in those jobs... or is it the uniform?

Sex with a Stranger..or being picked up: Quite a common fantasy and one that is fun to act out.
